Jammer de bammer
Jongelui, helaas pindakaas, moet ik mededelen dat de expo in de Verkadefabriek niet kan doorgaan. Momenteel hangt er een fotoexpo en daarna komt er nog de eindexamenexpositie van de academie. Dus er is nee tegen ons gezegd...Misschien kunnen we het op een later moment nog proberen (als jullie heul heul erg enthousiast zijn)...

Alphabattle
Omdat wij toch best wel van de custom lettertjes zijn:

Kun je je letter insturen en die wordt dan gepubliceerd, als ie awesome genoeg is that is ;) Ze zijn nu bij de Z -> insturen kan tot 14 feb.
GUIDELINES
• Submit a 600 pixel wide RGB file (flattened, jpg, png, gif) to lettercult //at// gmail.com. You can also upload to the Alphabattle Flickr 2.0 group. And while you’re at it, you can upload your letters to Nate’s LetterPlayground.
• Include a link to your site, if you’d like us to link.
• One submission per person per letter.
• You can make your letters however you choose, with one exception: Don’t use a font as a starting point…this is a site about letters you build from scratch. (wink)
• Keep it safe for work.
• Try to be original, in some way, shape, or form.
• Have fun.
• You can submit a letter after any deadline. We’ll still add it to the group.

Stage
Weet iemand wat je moet doen nadat je aangenomen bent voor stage?
Bij wie op school moeten we dat doorgeven en is er ook iets wat getekend moet worden oid?
En weet iemand de begindatum/einddatum van onze stage periode.

Google Font API
Misschien leuk & handig, Google heeft sinds een tijdje een API waarmee je fonts online kunt gebruiken die anders zijn dan de standaard Times, Arial of Verdana etc. Op deze manier hoef je dus niet meer eindeloos plaatjes te knippen als je ergens een strak lettertje wilt.

Nog een leuke op dit gebied is TypeKit, maar daar moet je registreren en betalen als je meer dan 2 verschillende fonts op je site wilt gebruiken. Maar zij hebben dan ook 'officiele' letters (de Museo is schitterend vind ik, en nog gratis ook).

This international competition will be held in four regions this year: China, Europe & International, Russia, UK & Ireland. Your students will be eligible for the Europe & International region.
The competition is free of charge to enter and is open to all students from around the world.
